Remember way back when we told you Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend Tony Romo was still calling his ex, Carrie Underwood? Yeah. Well Carrie’s super-sorry she let that cat out of the bag. Not sorry that he was still calling her, mind you. But sorry that she said anything.
In next month’s Elle, Carrie opens up about the remark, saying “It was something that was said in passing, and I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or stir up anything, because I’m just not about drama…at all.” Jess quickly refuted the claim, saying that she regularly checks her boyfriend’s call log, which doesn’t sound like a psycho girlfriend thing to do at all. What’s with all the loose clothes, Jessica Simpson? Are you hiding a little friend? Not according to the singer, who says she swallows more Tony Roma than Tony Romo. “I’m a nervous eater and this tour has made me a nervous wreck,” Simpson told the National Enquirer. Judging from how she rhapsodied about Romo to People, it sounds like she’d calm down and stop packing if he wasn’t off Packing.
Tony is a great quarterback, but he’s a better boyfriend. I’m seriously proud of myself for letting him into my life. Through all the chaos and torment and everything I go through, I can lay in his arms and finally rest.
To be my man, you have to put up with a lot. I toot under the sheets, I spend a lot of money and I can belch the ABC’s.
Awww…here she is on tour—tooting and belching more than ever—and Romo’s not around to hear it. Check out the gallery and decide for yourself if nerves or Romosexual practices are behind her bloat.

Billions of people change car tires every single day. But when Tony Romo does it, the world stops, volcanoes erupt with doves, and the seas shimmer with waves of gold. Jessica Simpson’s trapped boyfriend pulled over to help a middle-aged couple deal with their blown tire in Texas recently, and their reaction is well, priceless or pathetic, depending on how evil a person you are. Stranded motorist Sharon White details her and her husband Bill’s encounter with the football player:
“Bill was fooling with that tire, and I was standing beside the car watching him. The next thing I know, a nice-looking young man, very well-dressed, but with something strange on his chin, he walked up, smiled, and said, ‘Hey, you need some help?”
Sharon continued: “I did something no 50-year-old woman should be doing, but I screamed real loud, and then jumped up and hugged him.
Her husband Bill also freaked out: “Look, we’re driving a 10-year old car that is sitting in a parking lot with a flat tire in the dead of night. He could tell by that we’re nothing special. But here’s a young man making millions of dollars, and he’s got all this fame and glory, and he does this?” He added, “This was a good person we met. A good person with small-town values despite all the big-city fame and fortune.”
So there you have it folks. Tony Romo might as well be God, which would make Jessica Simpson’s preacher pop pretty happy, right? [NFL Fanhouse. Photo: Getty Images]

Jessica Simpson says she’s not the jealous type, but she keeps a close eye on her man. The singer insists that her boyfriend Tony Romo isn’t calling his ex, Carrie Underwood. Carrie says in the September issue of Allure: “The phone will ring and it’ll be him [Romo], and I’ll maybe not answer.” When asked about Carrie’s claims during an interview with a Nashville radio station, Jessica said that she “looked at his call log” and that “Tony and I chuckled about it.”
Jessica also went out of her way to make it known that she’s happy with her beau. “Most of the guys I dated were captivated by my heart but they had different ways of trying to get to me,” she said. “But Tony understands me.” We’re not totally convinced it was her “heart” that captivated her ex boyfriends, but it’s nice to know that the two are going strong. Hide all the copies of Allure, because there’s some news Jessica Simpson isn’t going to want to hear. Apparently, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo is still calling ex Carrie underwood…but she doesn’t pick up. “The phone will ring and it’ll be him,” the country star tells the magazine in the latest issue. “And I’ll maybe not answer.” It’s like a country song!
Carrie and Tony, who dated briefly last spring, denied they were a couple, but pictures proved otherwise. Jessica started dating Tony shortly after, in November of 2007. They’ve had a rocky relationship, reportedly breaking up a few times, and its hard not to wonder if Jess is Tony’s rebound following his break-up with Carrie…Could Jessica Simpson be the Super Bowl loser’s Carrie Underwood? Jessica Simpson gussied up, threw on some cowboy boots, and chilled on June Carter’s piano to dish about her rocky love life, John Mayer, and down home country lovin’ with Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo. The reality star turned country singer talked to Elle for their September 2008 issue …
On Tony Romo: “Most of the guys I dated were captivated by my heart but they had different ways of trying to get to me. Tony understands me. He appreciates my talent. He’s the first person I’ve spiritually connected with. I’m a girl that loves to be in love. I love love!”
“It’s the cutest thing,” Simpson says of Romo. “He’ll say, ‘Jessica, 75% of the comments about your new single are favorable.’”
On her relationship with John Mayer: “John believed in the Jessica Simpson that’s within. He cherished our love. He helped make me the woman I am today. John is going to be an amazing man for someone, but I know that I was supposed to be with someone else.”
