The novelty of The Hills wore off about about 300 stares ago, and even the stars of MTV’s uber-hit know it. Wonk-eyed brunnette Audrina Patridge recently told People that, “At one point, all of us were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do another season,’” she says. “I wanted to do more movies, and Whitney moved to New York and she’s doing her own spin-off. And Lauren’s dating [My Boys actor] Kyle [Howard] but he can’t be on the show because he’s on another show, so that makes it hard.”
Despite their reservations, the ladies have been sucked into a fifth season, probably swayed by the promise of more exclusive internships and loads of cash that affords them all those Christian Louboutin heels. “We have fun with each other and we’ve stuck it out this long, so we might as well do another one,” rationalizes Audrina. Right.

On Monday night’s episode of The Hills, Audrina broke the news to L.C. that she was busting out on her own and moving out of the home she had shared with her and Lo. Audrina took to her blog to give the run down on how the big confrontation went down. “Although Lauren knew I had been thinking about it for awhile, I wasn’t sure how she was going to react,” she revealed. “I didn’t know if she was going to be mad or happy for me. I kept thinking of how it was when Heidi moved out and how everything went downhill from there with their friendship.”

Last night in Los Angeles, Kim showed up to her own celebration dressed as Wonder Woman — only with 20 pounds more ass, boobs and makeup. Mimi rocked two costumes at her party with hubby Nick Cannon, starting the night as some kind of nymphomaniac firefighter and ending it as a box of cookies waiting to be devoured. Wouldn’t it have been easier for both of them to just dress as skanks and be done with it? Or maybe they should have worn nothing at all like Ice-T’s curvaceous wife Coco. (Ice, invite us next time!)
But not everyone aimed to show skin this Halloween. Mickey Rourke, who looked like a drunken gay biker, deserves an award for Halloween’s Most F*cked-Up Looking Celebrity. Sadly, Kate Moss and actress Taryn Manning could be the runners-up for that award. Marilyn Manson wore the most simple and (surprise!) shocking outfit by hanging an “AIDS” sign around his neck. On a positive note, Pink and Seal both wore outfits that totally rocked.

Lauren Conrad has been driving through The Hills in luxury in a new Audi R8 and we at Scandalist were wondering how a fashion PR assistant could possibly shell out $114,200 for these glamorous wheels. Lauren has been spotted driving her new ride everywhere from the hair salon to dramatic, tear-filled lunches with her Hills co-stars. Reportedly, the ride is not L.C.’s at all.
Audrina Patridge is always in a bikini. This time, however, it was for a good cause. The Hills star appeared on Ellen and as part of Ellen’s effort to raise money for breast cancer awareness by dunking celebrities in her dunk tank, Audrina hopped on in for the cause. After a few tries, Ellen hit the target and Audrina was soaked. Audrina also spoke out about her off-again BFF Lauren Conrad, and those nasty rumors that LC hooked up with Audrina’s ex Justin Bobby.
It looks like the longtime feud between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag has come to a close. “Yes, it’s true,” Lauren says of what appeared to be their official reunion when the two Hills stars hugged it out at Los Angeles restaurant STK. “Heidi was at STK. She came in to the after party to congratulate me on the show. it was nice of her. I appreciated it.”

On the show, Lauren loathes the mute-but-hot hairdresser/model, but spies are whispering that she actually hooked up with him behind the brunette’s back, and now their friendship is officially dunzo.
